Refund Policy

Last updated October 19, 2026. This Refund Policy explains how payments for Jural subscriptions work and the only situations in which the administrator of the jural.ai service returns money. It forms part of the Terms of Service. Please read it before you choose a plan and billing interval.

1. Payments are final

Jural is sold by subscription, priced per user, billed monthly or yearly in advance. Once a charge for a billing period has gone through, it is final and non-refundable, whether or not the seats were used, how many pages were analysed or how many drafts were produced during that period. This applies to monthly charges, yearly charges, charges for added seats and charges for the difference when you move to a higher plan or a longer interval. Unused allowance does not carry over and is not refunded.

2. The only exceptions

We refund a charge, in whole or in the affected part, only in these three cases.

  • Duplicate charge. The same subscription was charged twice for the same seats and the same period because of a technical error. We refund the duplicate.
  • Proven unauthorized charge. A charge was made without the authorization of the card holder or the firm, and this is confirmed after we review the account activity and the payment record. We refund the charge and close the access that the charge paid for.
  • Total service failure. The Jural service was entirely unavailable to your firm for a continuous period of more than seven days within a paid period, for reasons within our control. We refund the share of the fee that corresponds to the days of total unavailability.

Partial outages, slow responses, a single module not working as expected, disagreement with an output or a change of mind do not count as total service failure. Enterprise customers also have the uptime commitment and service credits described in the Terms of Service, which are credited to future invoices rather than paid out.

3. Cancellation stops renewal

You can cancel at any time in the billing settings of your workspace. Cancellation stops the next renewal. It does not refund the period already charged, and the firm keeps access to every seat until the end of that period. After the subscription ends, the workspace remains available for export for 30 days, as described in the Privacy Policy. Removing seats or moving to a lower plan takes effect at the next renewal and does not produce a refund for the current period.

4. Consumers in the European Union

Jural is a business service for attorneys and law firms. If you nevertheless subscribe as a consumer resident in the European Union, the law of your country may give you a right to withdraw from a distance contract within a statutory period. When you start a subscription, you expressly ask us to begin providing the service immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once performance has begun. Your right of withdrawal expires only after you have given that consent and the service has started. If you did not give that consent, write to [email protected] within the statutory period and we handle your withdrawal under the law that applies to you.

5. How to request a refund under an exception

Write to [email protected] from the email address of the account owner. Include the firm name, the date and amount of the charge, the last four digits of the card and a short description of which exception applies. For a duplicate charge, a copy of the card statement line helps us match the payments. We reply within five business days and, if the request qualifies, return the money to the original payment method. Banks usually post a refund within five to ten business days after we issue it.

6. Talk to us before disputing a charge

If a charge looks wrong, contact [email protected] first. Most billing questions, such as an unexpected seat count or a yearly renewal, are resolved by email within a day. A chargeback or payment dispute opened without first contacting us about the charge is a breach of the Terms of Service and leads to suspension of the account.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version. Changes do not apply to charges made before the change takes effect. Questions about this policy go to [email protected].
